Client work for non-profit organization Help4U. Help4U seeks to at an immediate level serve the homeless in Pomona with food. And long terms give assistance to helping individuals get off of substances and then placed into housing as well as jobs. It is a faith based organization looking to radically transform the city of Pomona and beyond.

Shot on behalf of Isaiah’s Rock, a non-profit 501c3 organization in the City of Chino, serving its residents and beyond!

In 2020, Isaiah’s Rock’s partnered with the City of Chino and now run the food bank ministry in the City Hall Parking Lot. They distribute food rain or shine, every Wednesday as well as special give aways for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My next project: a mini-doc on "Isaiah's Rock", a house church that has found a way to continue serving the community even during Covid-19. They have partnered with the city of Chino to distribute food to around 600 families a week on Wednesdays.

The King family have been doing food distribution for 37 years. And with the onset of Covid-19, they wanted to find a way to continue doing what they were doing while meeting restrictions and allowing those serving to take personal responsibility for PPE and distancing or lack there-of as a matter of personal conviction.

There is a need being met here. One that I can't explain. People wait 4 or more hours to receive food. And definitely free food is a part of it, but it's more than that. The LORD is working through Isaiah's Rock to meet the community's needs at multiple levels. I hope the short film will get to explore that well. As well as explore this group of people that are dedicating their lives with zero pay, doing exhaustive work day in and day out, in order to serve the LORD in obedience.

Brent Southcombe is a professional chef from New Zealand, winner of Australia and New Zealand's prestigious "Chef of the Nation" award. As an Executive Chef he has served statesmen and dignitaries and traveled the world; but, in the past several years he has spent his time using his culinary skills to develop training programs for refugees.
